This afternoon we went to the village of Cerro de Oro. Time was spent playing with the children as we walked from jobsite to jobsite Surveying what we have instore for us tomorrow and this coming week.

Our Doc. Keith saw some of the home owners of the houses we are building. What a blessing to have a doctor on our team. His comments on her condition.......
"She has infected ulcers on both feet and lower legs with a significant amount of swelling. Since we did not have our medical supplies with us, we will return tomorrow to clean the ulcers to determine the cause and then treat as indicated."

Meet our country liason for orphan outreach of Guatemala, Gloria Caceres. She has done just an awsome job for us. Some of the earlier Buckner teams should remember her.
Tracy settling for a regular Coke.

We thought Paula and Tara were not going to get back on the bus. They were definately in there element.
Pastor Thomas, head of missions showed us there mission church they have in the village. They have 50 families attending this church that has services on Sunday and Wednesdays. They have performed 15 baptisms in this church since in opened 2 years ago. They lease this property and are currantly trying to save to buy something more perminent. We all gathered inside and did a prayer circle. What a blessing to see how God is working here.

And Finally a picture of what your donations are doing for these families. They recieved the supplies and started working . Pastor Thomas is doing the construction with a helper. They are about halfway done. We get to come in and help with the final phases.

And for me. They discovered that I am a plumber. I will be helping install a 750 liter water storage tank on the top of the school in town and fixing the toilets and sinks of which most are broken.
Heavenly father Thank you for keeping us safe and exposing us to the needs of these people. It is going to be a difficult week. I pray for the woman with the foot infection. That our love poured out will help her heal that the medical attention she recieves will allow her to heal and have more comfort in her life and see how you love her so much. Keep us safe and our families safe at home. Please allow Shaun to get the right amount of rest so he feels healthy tomorrow and please allow Paula's migraine finally go away tonight as she sleeps.
We pray these things in your name Lord
Amen

  2. Thank you for the prayers. They are greatly appreciated. God is doing amazing things here. I had health issues but they seem to be doing better. Now, I am just hurting from all the hard work done today. I got see real poverty and people with medical needs. May we continue to share God's love with them. VBS was crazy. Construction was cool. I dug up two small tarantulas. I'm bringing one back for you. Well, I've got to go. Again, thank you for the prayers. In Christ's Love- Shaun

  3. Praying that you will be strengthened with all HIS glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy. Col 1:11

Besides being a prayer warrior for your team, I am an RN. After seeing the wonderful pictures you posted, I was very interested in the lady with the leg wounds. Among the many tasks I do, is chronic wound care. I had my co-workers look at the picture today and we brainstormed, what we would do with very limited supplies. So now we are all interested in what your doctor did for her legs. We prayed that God would give him wisdom to be created with the supplies he has with him. Nothing is impossible with God!

    On my knees,
